its been a week of boy-meets-graffiti fusions as we take our men to SUPER HOT level with some great new season looks. think 60s mod meets 80s punk... a revival of some cobain/hutchence grunge inspired looks from the 90s..super short facelines on totally destroyed crops...all in all a very cool week - so cool that we we're starting to feel dorky in comparison...

fav mens shampoo this week: SP HYDRO PROMO PACKS (3 products for the price of two and a no rinse conditioner to give u more time in the shower to....um..do other things...c'mon we're sold!)

fav conditioner: see above

fav styling products: for that super matte finish SEBASTIAN CRUDE CLAY has run out the door faster then a grandma at a rock gig (unless ur a rocking grandma....we're not age discriminatory at head graffiti...no really...ok we're sorry bout that one nan)

and for that re-workable yet punky edge it's been a GEL revival with SP MEN'S ULTRA GEL that smells better then michael's cologne, which being gel at 25 bucks, pissed him right off

~~this weeks scribble...~~

after only opening our new salon in south perth three weeks ago we have done a reno-job larger than a facelift on a desperate housewife...this week has seen maree and tahnee (the men of the salon/multi skilled wonders) up on ladders, crouched over skirtings and head to toe in paint for what seemed like a good idea at the time...results are awesome come down and check them out

we also saw our technical director maree effortlessly delivering some of the hottest colour trends of the season...her three major technical themes this week? working creamy pastel tones into full colours (think flat "smoke blondes" pumped up with sweet pastel apricot/mink tones)...working cool and warm tones within a design to enhance contrast and pump up visual texture...for the men? super sexy slate browns with shimmering edges of raw rust tones --- subdued masculine looks with an edge.

style direction this week has seen art director steph and our resident stylist mike pumping some of the major trends for the season...sharp and sexy mod bobs, heavily texturised layered haircuts with destroyed design lines for a dishevelled rock star edge (think marianne faithful meets chrissy hynde), beatnik boys with mod-meets-punk men's looks being some of our favourite of the season. elegant punk meets old world glamour - so hot!

mikey has also been channelling his inner photoshop geek and is still editing/posting glamour shots of us all/overly arthouse pics of the new salon ....keep checking to catch our narcissism...yup we think we're hot...

all in all a very exciting week......
